Distinguished Structural Engineering Professor, former University President, Professional Engineer, and Arbitrator with extensive experience in engineering practice and dispute resolution. During his tenure as Advisor for Engineering Affairs and Projects at Abu Dhabi Municipality, he made significant technical contributions to the resolution of disputes on numerous mega projects.
He has also played a key role in construction claims and dispute resolution as an engineering expert, committee chair, and arbitrator. His work includes public‑sector claims review, municipality‑related dispute management, registered expert assignments in the UAE, independent expert roles in high‑value contractual disputes, and investigations into structural defects and failures. He is a registered Expert and Arbitrator at the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (ADCCAC).
